De-Stress and Detoxify at Scottsdale Spas

For on-the-go urbanites that work hard and play hard, the VH Spa at Hotel Valley Ho offers the Hammam Full Body Treatment Massage incorporating Red Flower products. The body is massaged with key essential oils to stimulate the lymph system using techniques to encourage deep muscle and joint release. Herb, nut and fruit extracts are then used to heat the body to encourage stimulation of blood flow and perspiration through every pore, leaving the skin cleansed from within. For more information, visit or call 480-248-2000.

The Golden Door Spa at The Boulders Resort offers Detox Cellulite Therapy, a treatment for women that offers immediate benefits in areas affected by cellulite. The treatment begins with soft brushing to stimulate the lymphatic system; then an “anti-cellulite ampoule” of algae, ivy and vitamins is applied to aid the breakdown of fatty deposits and wastes. A seaweed-based gel and protein cream is worked into the area to detoxify, tone and firm. A gentle electric muscle stimulator follows, applied with a warm clay body mask that blends pine and cypress for a deep cleansing effect, while producing a more toned, smoother-looking skin surface. The result is an immediate three- to six-inch reduction in fat that lasts three to four days. Products also are available for use at home to extend the treatment and intensify results. For more information, visit or call 800-553-1717.

CopperWynd Resort & Spa features the Seaweed Detox Body Wrap, designed exclusively for detoxification. The treatment starts with a full-body brushing to stimulate the lymphatic system followed by an application of a detoxifying seaweed mask to assist the body's natural metabolic balance. The guest is then cocooned in a hot blanket to promote a reduction in water retention and stimulate circulation. Another option for resort guests is the Dead Sea Mud Mask Wrap, designed to not only to exfoliate but also hydrate and re-mineralize the body. This treatment begins with a full-body exfoliation followed with a warm soothing mask applied to purify, calm, regenerate and remove impurities from the skin. Hot blankets then cover the body to promote circulation. For more information, visit or call 480-333-1900.
